Meeting Discussion:
Meeting called to order at 7:00pm by Fred Olive

The intent of the October 9 2018 meeting was to meet for the final session of 2018 and discuss preliminary items for 2019 including the agenda for the Annual Meeting scheduled for June 29, 2019 at the Aloha Township Hall at 8:30 am.

Communications Discussion

It was discussed that (going forward) any documentation that was provided by Tony Groves of Progressive AE (survey results, treatment dates, etc.) could be posted by Fred Schramm on the website as long as the board reviewed first. The documentation would be sent to the lake association officers and forwarded to Fred Schramm by Jeff Sherman for website posting

It was also discussed that communication with Camp Walden should be improved. A minimum of 48 hours regarding treatment during the summer needs to be directly communicated to Camp Walden for their planning purposes.

History Boxes

There are /were 4 boxes of minutes, by laws, and additional information that have been floating from officer to officer over time. It was discussed that we should keep 2 years of meeting notes on the website as well as a copy of the by-laws. We currently have 5 years of minutes posted and the by-laws were added to the website in 2018.

It was discussed that in the invitation to the annual meeting that we would mention that we would have various documentation for those members of the lake association to take if they wish and that the remaining docs would be destroyed.

2019 Annual Meeting

We discussed and approved that Eli Baker from the Tip of The Mitt Watershed council would be invited back for additional lakeshore maintenance discussion as well as possibly having Greta from the Council present.

We also discussed having the Jackson’s give a brief update on the water clarity results and process.

It was a given that we would have the election of odd/even representatives and also election of the President and Secretary positions

Miscellaneous Items

  • Brief discussion of initiating conversation with Dale Clarmount to engage the prisoners to pick purple loose strife in infested areas
  • Fred Olive, Jim Currie and Jeff Sherman to attend Tipp of the Mitt Lake Association meeting at NCMC in June 2019
  • Hybrid fish to eat zebra mussels
