Aquatic Plant Survey
When we started the Evasive Species Program it was very clear that the Eurasian Watermilfoil was taking over the lake. It was found almost everywhere in the lake. In the past we have tried to control the weed with the introduction of a native eurasian weevil that just loved this weed. However, this proved to be too costly for the rather poor results. After years of hard work CLLAA was able to implement a plan using herbicides to control the spread of this evasive species.
After one year the results can be easily seen when boating, swimming & fishing on the lake. Below are a maps from the survey that have been conducted. It is also clear from the maps it’s effectiveness on the Eurasian Watermilfoil
