Annual Meeting MINUTES
June 27, 2026
Location: Aloha Township Hall

Welcome

Coffee and Donuts 8:00-8:30a

Meeting called to order at 8:30 a.m.
Pledge of Allegiance
Membership Introductions (name, street, # of years at the lake) – all in attendance participated

Treasurer:

  • Financials posted to website.
  • Discussed membership drive was very successful.  Membership rose from 43 to 96 member

Secretary:

  • review minutes from last year,
  • web site
  • Email/Spam filters

Eurasian Watermilfoil 

  • The costs have increased, but have funds to cover
  • Assessment will continue for 1yr
  • No treatment was needed in Spring 2026, very little Milfoil was detected
  • Starting in 2027, on days when the water is treated, there are no longer swimming restrictions.  However, boat traffic should be limited as to not disturb the treatments.
  • Water clarity 27ft, very low levels chloroform

Board of Directors Election (Even year 2026)

Effective 5/1/2026  Jeff Sherman resigned, Looking for members to replace Jeff
Effective 6/28/2026 David Brodstein will not be seeking  reelection.

Having both role of President and Vice President open, the remaining Board Members and District Representatives will appoint an existing member to each of these roles at a future meeting.

Joe and Fred will sign  – Change of Officers for Banking.

District 2  – Ed Delana (From 5276 Hiawatha Dr. to and including Paradise Trail.)
District 4  – Chuck Maziasz (From 4696 Hiawatha Dr. to 4664 Hiawatha Dr.)
District 6  – Ed Riggan (From E. Beechwood Dr. to end of Norway Trail, including Wylie Rd.)
Note: You do not need to be a resident in a district to represent it

All nominations were accepted with no dissenters. A call for a vote was brought forward.  100% of attendees approved the nominations.

 

Look Nesting Platform Update

  • 2nd platform was placed at North end of lake
  • Looking for Volunteers to take in/out platforms
  • One Loon was reported dead, appeared to be from a boat prop.
  • Please report if you see babies

 

Other Lake Business

  • Aloha Township –
    • Last Thursday of the month is free trash day
    • Pallister Rd landfill is still available by contacting Chuck Maziasz
  • 4th of July Boat Parade (Chuck Maziasz) -1:00pm start at Camp Walden.
  • August Camp Walden Boat Concert – Flat Rock Marching Band – More to follow
  • Best time for lake useage is when Camp Walden is at lunch, 12:30 – 2:30pm
  • Reminder for Wake Boats to use the middle of the lake.
  • All CLLAA information is available on the website with Long Lake Facebook updates
  • Email – check your junk and trash and/or leave your valid email address
